When I embarked on the journey of designing and building my own wedding venue in 2017, I quickly realized there were very few resources to guide me through the process. I had to piece together the best practices, workflows, and marketing strategies on my own. As a former wedding photographer with a decade of experience, I knew what it took to create beautiful events, but running a venue presented a whole new set of challenges. I listened to countless podcasts, attended luxury wedding planning workshops, and even leaned on my past experience in sales and marketing. But at the end of the day, it is my face, my reputation, and my overhead on the line, and that pressure is real.
