And then there was early Spring...

The possibilities are as endless as your imagination at Emerson Fields. We know that your imagination [or Pinterest] will sometimes lead you to believe that if your wedding isn’t in the months of May, June or October, then it won’t be ideal. That is false. Every single wedding has its own characteristics because it takes on the personality of the bride and groom here at Emerson Fields. Being an open venue allows for you to choose your vendors and make your wedding day what you want it to be.

The venue itself is beyond beautiful; every detail is so carefully thought out. Steve and Amelia welcomed us so warmly, like we had known them forever. That same warmth continued all the way to our wedding day and beyond. I had a million questions for Amelia and she answered every single one of them with the same friendliness from the first time we met. Steve and Amelia worked to make sure our day was everything we had dreamed of...and it ended up being better than anything we could have imagined. They put their hearts into this place and you can see it with every wedding that happens here. We are so grateful that we were able to start our new beginning at Emerson Fields!
— April Bride - Whitney

Taran and Alex were married here in March 2019 and it snowed on the morning of their wedding day, sprinkled a bit throughout the day and ended with a beautiful sunset. Unfortunately there are no guarantees when it comes to the weather and Missouri ranks up there with the most unpredictable. We took that into consideration when constructing the venue. We knew it would set your mind at ease to have a beautiful backup plan in place no matter what your Plan A was. Taran planned for an indoor ceremony followed by cocktails and dinner reception. Our venue works wonderfully for that and with the large floor to ceiling windows you have the natural element of the outdoors as part of your ceremony backdrop.

Taran + Alex chose the following vendors to bring their March wedding to life:

  • Photography by Catherine Rhodes Photography

  • Bridal Gown from Belle Mariee

  • Menswear from Men’s Warehouse

  • Planning & Coordinating by D-Zines Weddings

  • Cake from The Cake Stand of Kirksville

  • DJ from Haymore Productions

  • Bar Service from Spirits with Meredith Belt

  • Catering from Noland’s Catering of Macon

And then there’s Kendra who braved the first weekend in April only to find temperatures rising above 70 degrees, sunshine beaming and partly cloudy skies for days and days. April is typically rainy so Kendra had planned a gorgeous, indoor, Oscar-style ceremony for around 300 of her closest family and friends. Their day went off without a hitch and they had plenty of time for outdoor portraits, a first look under the portico and a show-stopping, dip-kiss in front of the venue that night.
