Before we dive in to the Styled Shoots Across America highlights, let us just say that every photographer that attended was phenomenal to work with. We enjoyed everyone’s fun attitudes, professionalism, laughter and, of course, their stellar work in such exquisite finished images. For the sake of a blog post we felt it to be less confusing if we share the images from one photographer - even though we loved them all! Check out our Instagram page for more amazing shots!

This is what Emily had to say on Instagram awhile back || “A few weeks ago I took a little break, with some other fab photogs, out at Emerson Fields Venue. Styled Shoots Across America put on a fantastic styled shoot, and we all had a blast! Hands down one of my favorite venues in MO! Emerson Fields is literal perfection in every. Single. Way. And not just the actual venue, the owners are the BEST human beings. The BEST. I basically want to be them when I grow up. And also move into Emerson Fields. It’s that amazing.”
This may all sound like a friend-fest but we’ve actually just met Emily this year and she’s only been to our venue twice… so far… although it sounds like she may be packing her bags to move! It’s important to us that we take care of our vendors and that they ENJOY their experience here at Emerson Fields. Don’t get me wrong, our couples are our top priority. But as an engaged couple, don’t you want your vendors to be treated with a warm smile when they arrive on your big day? We love to show new vendors around the venue and give them a quick rundown while pointing out our storage areas that they can use to place equipment and personal items in. Often we check in with them to see if there’s anything we can assist with throughout the day, offer them a step ladder if they’ve forgotten theirs and give them use of our golf cart to transport the newlyweds to a private location for intimate portraits after the wedding.
We enjoy hosting styled shoots as well and count it a privilege when photographers share their photos with us. This particular styled shoot was done earlier this month and we had an AMAZING team assembled from all over the country… literally! We adored meeting new photographers and vendors, working alongside Lexie for Styled Shoots Across America and Alexie Events USA and pushing our limits to try new and exciting things!
This Fall Harvest table was beautifully designed and styled in our wooded clearing by some of the most talented and creative vendors we know and love!
These styled shoots are a ton of work and we don’t take them on without careful consideration and research, but when we do, we go all the way. It’s our goal to surpass expectations and our focus is on how we can make the experience top-notch for all of those involved. These shoots are a terrific gathering of creative talents, photographic moments and friendships. We adored meeting the wedding planners, Lexie and Thomas David from California, and their expertise and insight gave us some wonderful food for thought on some of our upcoming projects. These are things you can’t glean from social media or email correspondence. It’s an “in the trenches” kind of knowledge. You learn and grow from DOING and we do these to improve our venue and our client’s wedding day experiences.
This is a dear vendor-friend to us, Cindy Scott. Cindy comes alongside you on your best day ever and paints with emotion and raw talent like you’ve never seen before. As an artist, Cindy pushed herself during this shoot to create SEVERAL hand-painted masterpieces. She is always pushing the limits in order to further her creativity and be the best painter she can be for her couples. These make the most unique and treasured gifts for any newlyweds in case you were wondering.
I’ll conclude with a comment I heard from the planners; “Today is about what we CAN’T do”, meaning that for this styled shoot we would push ourselves past what we CAN do and attempt something new and different... We loved every new and different minute of it and we hope you have enjoyed reading and seeing the highlights.
